    Peculiar news from Norway: Fishermen have found a whale wearing a harness. The harness says "equipment of St Petersburg" and has a camera attachment. Russian marine biologists say they don't put harnesses on whales. The Norwegians think it may be a "military whale".

    Just rediscovered this book which my grandfather won as a prize at Sunday school in 1921. It includes a large section on 'The Marine Menagerie' He must have read it to me from an early age!
