Adani have just been fined $13,055 for coal slurry spill. In 2017 their revenue was USD$11.357 billion. So the fine was 0.000115% of their income. For someone making $100,000/yr in Australia the equivalent fine would be 0.12 cents. What was the point of the fine, again?

A demonstration of the power of citizen science and in particular. Mobilizing a huge group of eyes to observe the natural world is wonderful. iNaturalist will ID species for you (either with AI or through the community like here) + record the observation as data!
